Setting the Scene

A City-Wide Celebration of the Human Spirit

The TCS New York City Marathon is a testament to determination, spanning five boroughs and covering 26.2 intense miles. With over 50,000 runners and nearly two million spectators, it's one of the world's most iconic races. However, connecting such a massive crowd across a sprawling cityscape presented a unique challenge. Organizers needed a reliable way to keep fans engaged, and runners motivated from the starting gun to the finish line. That’s where Insane Impact and our partner, SportsMedia Technology (SMT), stepped in.

Making an Impact

The Big Apple’s Race Brought to Life

Insane Impact deployed our MAX Mobile LED Trailers to serve as critical touchpoints throughout the course. Engineered for the demanding conditions of large-scale outdoor events, MAX provided the reliability SMT needed to bring their data to life. By strategically utilizing the MAX series, the marathon achieved:

  • Real-Time Tracking: We fueled the competitive spirit by broadcasting live leaderboard updates and stats, ensuring that no crucial data went undelivered to the fans lining the streets.
  • Dynamic Storytelling: From live footage of elite runners to inspirational messages during the toughest miles, MAX transformed individual moments into a shared, city-wide experience.
  • Seamless Partner Integration: As Steven de Haseth from SMT noted, our mobile units were the "perfect solution" for on-course displays, allowing them to provide real-time race updates and entertainment that enhanced the experience for everyone involved.
  • Unwavering Reliability: Weather-resistant and road-ready, our trailers delivered crystal-clear visuals in any environment, proving why they are essential tools for events as demanding as the NYC Marathon.
